WZA (True Life R&B)

? WZA ?

… WZA (pronounced "wizza") is the pseudonym of Wouter Souvereyns, a playful unique presence, with a strong command of style and genre as a producer and songwriter. Alternative R&B and hip hop fueled productions with a direct soul and funk injection; it’s a sincere ambitious project, brimming with honesty and humble perseverance.

… Wouter Souvereyns developed an interest in music at a very young age and achieved his first national success after forming Polaroid Fiction; an acclaimed alternative rock trio with a strong live reputation crowning their year with a performance at the Pukkelpop festival and releasing a self-titled EP (sold out).

... WZA’s first public appearances were noticed by playing guitar and keys for Belgian act Warhola and being credited for co-producing singles “Jewels” and “Promise”. Both songs achieved high rotation airplay on Belgian radio and first introduced his character’s name WZA to fellow artists and music listeners.

… Wigga III contains four (4) new songs all written, performed and produced by WZA. Studio sessions were held overnight while inviting his band members to record all songs with live instrumentation. Everything you hear on these tracks is performed by a human being with his/her own instrument. The EP is recorded, mixed and mastered at Studio Jupiter by Koenraad Foesters in the Summer of 2019.

… Lyrically WZA is the main character in his songs, creating tales of true-life observations with a comical aspect and never hiding sarcasm or satire in the lyrics.

… The band WZA surrounds himself with for live performances are always the same people; best friends in daily life and partners in crime on stage. These guys grew together as a strong live trio after playing several shows including Het Depot, Muziekgieterij, Botanique, and Muziekodroom. Enjoying every bit, and every second.
